Aston martin's plan with the v8 vantage was to create a competitor for the porsche 911, but this 2009 aston martin vanquish is so much more car. The great thing about the vantage is that it benefits from all the handling and suspension found on the top-of-the-line vanquish, the same dramatic styling, and a more tossable, compact package. For drivers who really push their cars to the limit, this might be the aston to own. With 5. 5 inches less wheelbase and more than a foot shorter than the 2+2 aston martin models, it looks like the gorgeous sheetmetal has been pulled taut over its muscles leaving very little wasted material. There's more evidence inside that aston was serious about performance when they built the vantage. The chocolate brown leather seats are exquisitely finished with the finest materials and yes those bolsters are definitely required. There's very little wear on the driver's seat, even on the high-traffic outer bolster area, and the wool carpets are still just as plush as they were when it was new. The vantage was extensively upgraded for the 2009 model year, most notably the larger 4. 7 liter dohc v8. It starts with a raw bark and settles into a rumbling v8 idle that's simply sublime at speed and it pulls without effort to its screaming 7500 rpm redline. The undercarriage is quite clean, so it's obvious that the last owner used it only in good weather, and there are no signs of damage, neglect, or modifications. Gorgeous 19-inch forged alloy wheels show off those big brakes to great effect and wear staggered 235/45/19 front and 275/35/19 rear michelin pilot radials. Leather Seats✔ Alloy Wheels
