This m6 starts runs and drives nicely. It 3. 5l l6 fi dohc runs smoothly, has excellent shifting, suspension and braking. $10,000 in recent upgrades late last year include new mufflers, new clutch, pilot bearing and lightweight 240mm flywheel; new engine control unit chip, short shift kit, front and rear chassis spring set, transmission mount, michelin pilot tires, battery, and recent oil, transmission, differential fluids along with new belts. After 30 years the car still shows well. The body is totally rust-free with solid, original floors and rockers; the paint has a nice shine to it, the trim, glass, lenses and externals are quite presentable. The car sports the original bbs wheels wrapped in a new set of michelin pilot sport tires replaced last september about 100 miles ago, p255/40zr 17s in the rear with p235/45zr 17s up front. Looks to have had one respray of the schwarz black at some point. All factory body vin decals are in place. Good looking car, plenty of curb appeal and very, very straight. The interior has excellent seating, panels, carpet, and gauges. The dash has a cover on it due to the typical cracking we see on this era of bmw. The rear sunshade hooks will need replacing in order to keep the shade in the up position. At this time the computer to the right of the stereo is not hooked up. The power seats are in good working order though the power headrests are currently inoperable. A/c blows but isnt cold. Otherwise, the car is very comfortable and presentable. Rare 1987 bmw m6 e24 coupe up for auction is a 1987 bmw model m6 coupe! The 1987 m6 is a rarity, and a great find in the case of this particular vehicle. The m6 has been critically acclaimed for its sleek, elegant design and luxury features, not to mention its speed and performance excellence. M6 was fitted with the catalyzed s38 motor, producing 256 hp and 243 ft·lbf of torque. The m6 was good for a 0-60 mph time of 6. 8 seconds. Car and driver magazine tested the u. M6 in july of 1987 and achieved a 0-60 mph time of 6. 1 seconds. In addition, road and track featured the u. M6 as one of the 10 fastest cars in america in 1987. A limited number of m6's were produced between 1987 and 1989. Only 1787 of those were north american models. Color is royal metallic blue exterior and parchment white leather interior. The following work has recently been accomplished on this m6: complete tune-up – 6 plugs, rotor, distributor cap, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter replace ignition wires replace all hoses, belts, thermostat, and refill with fresh coolant replace starter, alternator, coil, and water pump new brake pads and rotors, rebuild calipers, flush with fresh brake fluid replace hydraulic brake booster replace clutch master and slave cylinders replace timing chain, sprockets, tensioners, and guides.
