The earliest history known of the truck was that it was a delivery truck. Before restoration the truck had a faded sign painted on it:wingate grocery and hardwarephone 2508. In the early 1960’s the unrestored truck was purchased by dr. Robert burch of hansville, washington whom at the time owned crown hill veterinarian in ballard wa. From the 1960’s until 1992 the truck remained stored disassembled in a garage on hood canal drive. Burch was now in his senior years and realized he would likely never get to see the truck on the road. I was finishing building a new home for dr. Burch and his wife in hansville and we had become friends. I was able to convince him to trade me his old truck for work and with the agreement that i would restore the truck to its original condition and bring it back to take him and his wife for a ride. The most significant contributors to the restoration were my father,a retired auto mechanic and murry motor car in monroe wa. I also received help from members of the model t club in locating parts, advice and support. I believe to date i have around $40k dollars invested to make this restoration professional and correct.
