Jaguar beauty, chevy reliability! Classic 1985 jaguar xjs he with chevrolet 350 v8 engine (also called a “jagrolet”) automatic transmission with power windows and door locks. Steering tracks extremely well even at high speeds. Chevy 350 engine installed 1999. The car easily passed all its emission tests over the years, and no longer needs testing in wa state. Air conditioning works, heater doesn't (the heater core has a leak and has been bypassed). The parking brake also doesn't work. Dayton wire spoke wheels, brand-new tires. New battery and alternator. Bright red with light tan leather interior. However, the interior is in poor condition including badly deteriorated leather and no fabric headliner. The odometer was disconnected as part of the chevy conversion; current mileage is roughly 80,000 miles, including approx. 30,000 since the conversion. The stereo was replaced with a new cd player, but the speakers aren't wired. Power Windows✔ CD Player✔ Air Conditioning

This 2-owner (father to son) jaguar is absolutely gorgeous throughout. The original msrp was a stout, for that time, $61,080. Amenities include; power front sport seats with lumbar, heated front seats, 4-wheel disc brakes with abs, halogen headlamps with power wash system and halogen foglamps, limited-slip differential, leatherbound tilt steering wheel with airbag, power tinted windows, hella cruise control, burl walnut fascia and trim, deep pile carpeting, 4-speaker am/fm/cassette premium audio system, aerodynamic front spoiler, spoke alloy wheels, heated and power front wing mirrors, carpeted and lighted trunk with full-size spare tire. This pristine xjs was purchased new at westlake import motors in illinois in july of 1992, and was a cherished and pampered 'sunny-day-only' car until it's original owner was no longer able to drive. Stewardship was passed to an enthusiastic son, who carried on with his father's passion for this beloved jaguar. As befitting the flagship of a product range known for being one of the best in the world, the interior of the xj-s is a very special place to sit. The seating position is low, but the view out is excellent, and there's a wonderful view over the long and sculpted bonnet to enjoy. The dashboard is cleanly arranged and switchgear is very easy to reach, and this serves as a welcome reminder that car designers finally begun to understand the black art of ergonomics in the seventies. Underneath the hood is jaguar's impressive v-12, which is directly descended from the company's racing engine. There simply is no fuller satisfaction, no firmer return to the elegance of yesterday and nothing quite as soul-stirring as a fast run in the big cat. It roots a driver in that golden age when styling didn't change every 12 months, and engines were developed more for muscles than finesse. It is front-engined and rear-drive. It is a two-seater and the broad-shouldered power and lusty snarl of jaguar's v-12 is intoxicating. Maximum speed is an impressive 150+ mph, which back in 1975, put it very firmly in the supercar category. What marks the xj-s as truly impressive is not its accelerative thrust, but its effortlessness.
