1947 Willys Jeep - Albany, NYFor sale by Owner - New YorkAlbany, NY 12202Ph: 3257182156Web: carmasterpros.comOptions:Description:1947 Willys Jeep CJ2A. Frame off restoration completed 3 years ago. It wasrebuilt from the frame up, with 3865 miles on it since then. The transfer case, and axles were disassembled, blasted, powder coatedblack, rebuilt, and re-assembled. The rebuilt engine is the original 134 "GoDevil" Jeep 4 cylinder engine. I added a modern electronicMSD ignition system. The axles have 4:88 gears, a locker in the rear axle, andnew Warn lockouts on the front. I added some bracing to the frame before havingit blasted and powder coated lack. The suspension and steering was I installed a 3" suspension lift kit, (springs) and revolverspring shackles. The tires are BFG All Terrains 32x11:50x15's mounted onaluminum slot wheels. The brakes have been completely rebuilt/replaced. Thebrake lines are all new stainless steel. The drums and backing plates are alsopowder coated. The body tub, fenders, hood, and tailgate are all new steel from4 Wheel Drive Hardware. The windshield frame is also new, and it's the CJ3Astyle. These are better looking than the CJ2A style, uses a 1 piece windshield,has a vent, and moves the wipers to the bottom of the windshield. The body,fenders, tailgate, hood, grill, and windshield frame were all powder coatedyellow inside, outside, top, and bottom before assembly. Then, after assembly,the exterior was painted the same yellow color. This Jeep will never rust!! Onthe inside, it has custom front bucket seats, and a rear jump seat. I fabricatedfront seat mounts that relocated the front seats back farther than stock. I alsoshortened the steering column 4 inches. As anyone who has ever driven a flatfender Jeep knows, they are pretty cramped. These modifications make it muchmore comfortable. Eng has a slightrear main oil leak. willys is garage kept. The ignition key fits all thelocks. This is a survivor car !! Items replaced in the past 8 years. new battery,front & rear brakes, all wheel cylinders, all rubber brake lines and mastercylinder with dot 5 brake fluid.Complete front & rear suspension and shocks( seein pic how jeep sits nice and level and high) new motor mounts and trans mounts,exhaust system. All the grass windows are in good shape no cracks. Floors aresolid with some small rust holes(see pic) the frame is solid no rot. Electricalsystem is 12 volts. Interior has original door panels and original headliner. The seats are recovered. Original radio (dont work) Has a OVERDRIVE unitby Herm the overdrive guy. The rims are from a CJ jeep withchrome rings. (4 original rims will go with the sale) Paint is original , thepassenger door looks like it had been repaired at one time. Both rear quarterwheel wells are rusted need repair.(see pic) In the roof there is a small holewhere a spot light was at one time.

Other than a high quality Imron re-spray in the early 80's, this Willys (before American Motors bought Jeep, they were made by Willys Motor Co) Jeep is as perfect as an unrestored 55 year old vehicle could ever be. The original paint started peeling while in the warehouse and it was re-sprayed and re-lettered by a pro.
