Identifying characteristics of the town landau; 2-door body style with vinyl-covered roof. Landau s-bars on both sides of the roof. Simulated burled walnut trim on the steering wheel, instrument panel, console, and doors-standard features unique to the town landau. Lack of rear seat passenger windows. “blind” rear roof quarter panel with rounded window corner. Overhead control panel standard equipment. Vacuum door lock switch on console. Soft molded headlining. Optional power windows always include power vent windows. Vin body series code of “87”. Body style code of “63”. The black vinyl interior code “26/56” in is wonderful condition, with the exception of small wear areas on the driver’s seat and the drivers arm rest. The chrome is bright and doesn’t show any signs of pitting. The trunk is clean, as is the engine bay. There are a few in-perfections in the paint, but nothing bad. I purchased this car from a private collection (museum) in eastern washington back in 2011. Listed below is what i’ve done to the car since i’ve owned it. Transmission service/filter screen-gasket pan-trans fluid-band adjustment. Radiator replacement-radiator-coolant service-temp sensor. Carborator rebuild. 2 inner tie rods. Muffler and tail pipe replacement. Driver window switch replaced. New fuel tank-fuel tank sending unit-fuel pump filter. New alternator-voltage regulator-thermostat. Transmission reseal-reseal kit & fluid. New brake master cylinder-fluid-block. After market overflow for the radiator. Car assembled at wixom, mi plant. Z code engine 8 cyl 390 cid horsepower: 315 carbs: 1-4bbl compression: 10. 5:1/ completed may 1966 delivered to seattle, wa/3 speed c6 dual range automatic/ axel 3:00:1 amenities; power windows and vent windows all work 6 way power driver’s seat works swing-a-way steering wheel works remote trunk release works remote side mirror drivers side works/pitted on the exterior chrome power antenna works power door locks work am radio works passenger side front seat with headrest and reclining mechanism this part doesn’t work real wheel side skirts overhead control panel clock doesn’t work sequential turn signals work both sides 4 new cooper white wall radial tires odometer shows (74,976) which i believe to be original.
